Ottmar Hitzfeld and Ringier AG have been working together since 2012. The media company is now renewing the agreement with the successful former coach of the Swiss national football team by two more years.

The cooperation will continue to include both communications and representative appearances for Ringier as well as an editorial collaboration with the Blick Group and Schweizer Illustrierte. Hitzfeld will also continue in his advisory role for Ringier in the fields of sports and football.

Ottmar Hitzfeld is one of the most successful football coaches in the history of the sport. He won two Swiss championships and seven German national championships. In 1997, as coach of Borussia Dortmund, he led the team to the UEFA Champions League victory and in 2001 he clinched the same title with FC Bayern Munich. His success as a coach in the German national league based on average points per game is second only to Pep Guardiola. Hitzfeld (67), a native of Lörrach, qualified twice for the football world championships with the Swiss national team.
