Mihnea Vasiliu will assume his new role as General Manager of Ringier Romania in mid-November. In this position he will report directly to Florian Fels, CEO Ringier Central Europe. Vasiliu has excellent knowledge of the Romanian media market and many years of experience in leading media companies. Currently he is Executive Director of Realitatea Media Group in Bucharest which operates the TV news channel Realitatea. Prior to that he was CEO of the Romanian Media Pro Group, publisher of newspapers and magazines.

Vasiliu holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest and an Executive MBA from London Business School. He is married and father of three children.

Vasiliu is the successor to Marius Hagger. As already communicated in July, Hagger accepted a new professional challenge at the NZZ Group in Switzerland and is therefore leaving Ringier AG at his own request.

Ringier Romania has approximately 400 employees and publishes amongst others the tabloid newspaper Libertatea, teen and women’s magazines like Bravo, Unica or Bolero, in addition to running Internet portals and a printing plant.
