The World Economic Forum today announced the 2024 Class of Young Global Leaders. Petra Ehmann, Chief Innovation and AI Officer at Ringier AG, is one of the new members. The Class of 2024 is a diverse and dynamic group of nearly 90 changemakers under the age of 40 whose innovative contributions are setting the pace for a better future. Nominated for her exceptional leadership and groundbreaking work in technology and innovation, Petra Ehmann officially joins this illustrious group of young leaders from politics, business, civil society, the arts and academia, all united by a commitment to sustainable impact.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Young Global Leaders (YGL) Forum. It is a vibrant community dedicated to driving meaningful, positive change around the world in areas as diverse as public health, economic development, technology, and sustainability.
Throughout its history, the YGL community has produced leaders who have gone on to become Pulitzer Prize winners, UN Goodwill Ambassadors, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, and even heads of state. This year’s class promises to continue that legacy of excellence and impact.
Members of the YGL Class of 2024 will benefit from a three-year leadership development program that provides access to professional development courses, learning journeys, and collaborative opportunities. This initiative not only strengthens their ability to accelerate positive change, but also supports the World Economic Forum’s commitment to developing responsible leaders for a better world.
