Sportal.rs, Serbia’s leading sports media platform, has launched a significantly upgraded website, delivering faster performance, seamless navigation, and an enriched user experience. Developed by Ringier South Africa, the new frontend marks a major technological leap, making Sportal.rs the first brand within Ringier Sports Media Group (RSMG) to implement this next-generation in-house solution. This milestone is part of RSMG’s broader strategy to create a unified, cutting-edge digital ecosystem across its eight sports media brands while preserving strong local market identities.

Sportal.rs, Serbia’s leading sports media platform, has launched an improved version of its website, marking a significant technological step forward in digital sports journalism. The transformation introduces a state-of-the-art front end powered by SportsCube Site Admin, making Sportal.rs the first brand in the Ringier Sports Media Group (RSMG) portfolio to move to this innovative in-house solution.

The new platform offers a completely revamped user experience designed to provide sports fans with faster access to news, in-depth analysis and richer multimedia content. This upgrade is part of a broader strategy to unify the user experience across RSMG’s digital platforms, while maintaining strong local market identities.

With an optimized interface, Sportal.rs now provides seamless navigation across all devices, improved loading speeds and personalized features that increase engagement. The upgraded site also integrates advanced sports event analysis tools, ensuring that users receive the most comprehensive coverage in real time.

“This is a major step forward for Sportal.rs and RSMG as we continue to innovate in the sports media industry,” said Robin Lingg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RSMG. “The new platform not only improves the user experience, but also paves the way for a more efficient, scalable and monetizable digital ecosystem.”

The site transformation was a collaborative effort led by the RSMG product team, with the front-end developed by Ringier South Africa, back-end contributions from the Bulgarian Sportal365 team, and key support from the Sportal.rs team in Belgrade and Ringier’s global marketing team.

Following the successful implementation at Sportal.rs, RSMG plans to roll out the solution across all eight of its sports media brands in 2025. The strategy focuses on

  • Market Leadership – Delivering feature-rich, innovative products across all markets.
  • Efficiency – reducing development time through reusable components.
  • Maintainability – enabling seamless updates across platforms.

Designed to integrate seamlessly with the Sportal365 content management system, SportsCube strengthens RSMG’s position as a leading global sports media company, unlocking new monetization opportunities and driving economies of scale.

The combined efforts, dedication and innovative approach of the teams involved has resulted in a platform that sets new standards in sports media and ensures an unmatched experience for sports fans.
