Xiaoqun Clever studied Computer Science at the prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. She went on to study at the universities of Göttingen, Germany (Mathematics), Karlsruhe (Computer Science) and West Florida (General Management MBA). Until the end of 2013, Clever was Executive Vice President at German software company SAP AG and President of SAP Labs China. She reported directly to the Board and was responsible for implementing various innovative applications using the latest technologies. Under Clever’s leadership, her company designed numerous ground-breaking applications for the SAP product portfolio.

Clever has been Chief Technology Offer at German media company ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG in Unterföhring since January 2014. In this role she is responsible for the company’s innovative and profitable digital transformation across all business areas. In January 2015 she also became a member of the Supervisory Board at Allianz Versicherungs-AG Austria.

Xiaoqun Clever will take over as Chief Technology and Data Officer at Ringier from 1 January 2016. She will sit on the Group Executive Board and report directly to CEO Marc Walder.
